It is widely recognised that sport plays a valuable role in tackling issues such as: crime, health, drug and alcohol awareness.
Sport offers a diversionary activity, is a recognised vehicle in building confidence and encourages young people to become goal-setters.
Athletes serve as positive role models for instilling motivation and are an effective way of delivering the desired message.
