The Glasgow Rocks follow Barcelona with Charity shirt sponsorship
In 2006 Barcelona football club agreed to carry children’s charity UNICEF on the front of their shirts. This was a massive move and one which many other teams wanted to follow. Now the Glasgow Rocks can announce that they are the first professional basketball team in the UK to follow their lead, with help from Shell. For this season Shell has agreed to sponsor the teams’ shirts but in an innovative way – by promoting the TWILIGHT BASKETBALL CHARITY....
